Warsaw is a city that refused to disappear, almost entirely destroyed in World War II and painstakingly rebuilt into a capital that mixes a UNESCO-listed reconstructed old town with Soviet-era monuments, glassy skyscrapers and a young, creative energy. Affordable, green and deeply moving, it tells Poland's 20th-century story like nowhere else. Joy Plus shapes the old town, the museums and the riverbanks into an easy, walkable couple of days.
