Getting around
Busan's metro is clean, cheap and signed in English, and a rechargeable T-money card covers the subway and buses. The metro reaches most sights, with short bus or taxi hops to the temple and Gamcheon. Taxis are affordable for groups or late nights. Some coastal spots reward walking the scenic trails.
Safety
Busan is extremely safe, with very low crime, and walking alone at night is comfortable across the city. Solo female travellers report feeling very secure. The main practical concerns are summer heat and humidity, occasional typhoons in late summer, and steep hills at Gamcheon, so wear good shoes and check the forecast in storm season.
