Getting around
Coron Town is small enough to cross on foot in 15 minutes. Tricycles cost 15-50 pesos around town and about 150 to the hot springs. Everything else happens by boat: joiner island tours run $20 to $30 including lunch, private bangkas $80 to $150. Busuanga airport is a 45-minute van ride, usually 300 pesos shared.
Safety
Coron is safe and easygoing, with petty theft the only common issue. The real risks are on the water: check boats carry life jackets, and accept that trips are cancelled outright in bad weather. Reef shoes help on sharp limestone, currents run strong at Siete Pecados, and typhoon season from July to October can strand you for days.
