Getting around

For the south (Moalboal, Oslob, Kawasan), hire a private van/driver or take the Ceres buses from the South Bus Terminal. Island hops run by fast ferry and outrigger boats. Renting a scooter is popular in the beach towns. Distances are long, so plan transfers carefully.
Safety
Cebu is generally safe and friendly. Take normal precautions in the city, use Grab, and watch belongings. For water activities, use reputable operators and wear life jackets. Choose ethical whale-shark operators and keep your distance from wildlife. Respect strong currents when diving and snorkelling. Watch typhoon forecasts in the rainy season.
