  • Punta Carena lighthouse for the island's best sunset and a rocky swim.
  • Early morning in the Piazzetta before the first ferries dock.

Getting around

Capri is car-free for visitors. The funicular links Marina Grande to Capri Town in three minutes, small orange buses connect Capri Town, Anacapri and the marinas, and open taxis run fixed routes. Beyond that you walk, often on steps. Ferries and hydrofoils reach Naples in 45 to 80 minutes and Sorrento in 20-25.

Safety

Capri is extremely safe with almost no street crime; the main risks are physical. Cliff paths are exposed and often unrailed, steps are steep and slippery when wet, and summer sun on white rock is fierce. Bring proper shoes and water, and check sea conditions before booking the Blue Grotto.
