Getting around
A rental car or scooter is the easiest way to reach Ibiza's scattered coves and villages, though summer parking is tight. Buses connect the main towns and beaches affordably in season, and 'discobuses' run late to the clubs. Boats and ferries link beaches and nearby Formentera, while taxis are limited and pricey at peak times, so plan ahead.
Safety
Ibiza is generally very safe, including for solo travellers and women, with violent crime rare. The main risks come from the party scene, drink spiking, drug-related dangers, pickpockets in clubs and accidents on scooters or near cliffs. Pace yourself, watch your drink and belongings, and take care on the roads and coastal paths.
