Getting around
A car makes the wine regions practical, though wine tour shuttles and rideshares are widely available and safer for tasting days. Downtown and the waterfront are walkable, and Kelowna International Airport is 15 minutes from the centre.
Safety
Very safe city. The main risks are sun and heat in summer, wildfire smoke in late summer, and strict drink driving laws, so always book a driver for winery days. Lake water is cold early in the season.
