Hidden gems
- Sunset from Monteliusvägen, a clifftop path over the rooftops of Södermalm.

Getting around
The Tunnelbana metro is fast, safe and famous for its art-filled stations; an SL travelcard covers metro, buses and commuter ferries. The centre is very walkable. In summer, public ferries to Djurgården and the archipelago are part of the transport network.
Safety
Stockholm is extremely safe, including for solo women at night. The real challenge is cost, budget carefully. Winters are dark with only a few hours of daylight in December; summers have near-endless light. Tap water is excellent and contactless payment is accepted literally everywhere, so you barely need cash.
