Getting around
Flat and bike-friendly - rent a bike or use Valenbisi for the Turia and old town. The metro links the airport to the centre in 25 minutes, and trams reach the beach. The centre is very walkable.
Safety
Valencia is safe and relaxed, even at night. Standard care with pickpockets in the market and on the beach. It's noticeably calmer and cheaper than Barcelona, with the same Mediterranean appeal.
